Today you should read: Isaiah 52
What’s the best news you can ever remember receiving? Maybe it was the announcement of a new job, a pregnancy, a clean bill of health, etc. Whatever the news was, I bet you can remember the person who gave you the good news.
How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation, and says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”—Isaiah 52:7
Well, there’s no greater news than the gospel. I’m sure many of you know this, but “gospel” means “good news.” I bet you can remember who told you the good news of salvation. You are thankful and appreciate to that person for bringing you the message of Christ.
Do you know that you can be the person with lovely feet? The feet that brings the good news. The feet that announce peace. The feet that brings good news of happiness in someone’s life. The feet that announce “Your God reigns.” You can be that person by sharing the good news of Christ and making Him known.
I know sharing the gospel is not about my glory or your glory, but there is great encouragement and satisfaction in being the one who brought the good news to someone. In fact, it’s the Lord’s design that you and I have these lovely feet.
Who is it in your life that needs your lovely feet to walk to them today and bring them the good news? Who needs to know about the One who is high and exalted and eventually marred (vs. 13-14) so that we can have the opportunity to be rescued?
