Today you should read: Ezekiel 48
So here we are, the end of the book. It has certainly been a wild ride with some crazy visions, dreams and prophetic symbols from Ezekiel. As we close this book out we see the land being divided up between the 12 tribes of Israel, the prince and the priests. We also see instructions in building a wall and gates to enter the city of God. God had promised Abraham, a very long time before this, that his descendants would be given this very land as a possession and now God is fulfilling His promises. Abraham was long gone and anyone close to him as well. here was no one to hold God to his promise to Abraham but He did it anyway. God, in His faithfulness and trustworthiness, did what He said He would do.
In today’s world of litigation and contracts a person’s word means much less than it used to. We are taught to lie, manipulate and fudge a little, just to get ahead and look good doing it. Our kids are taught
that a little white lie or a twisting of the truth is worth it to keep up appearances. Our kids are learning these things from us. We are not being very good examples to our kids and we are clearly not living as
God would have us to live. his is a good reminder that we can trust God to do what He says and that we, too, should do the same.
Again, I hope this book has challenged you, inspired you and educated you on who God is, what He is like and how we should live
