Today you should read: 2 Chronicles 26

When will you ever learn?

I don’t know about you  but I heard this phrase growing up more times than I could count.  No matter what happened there were several things I would do over again,  despite the consequences and personal harm it could bring me.

Well it seemed the people had figured it out.  They were following God and doing right under king Uzziahs reign.  The bible tells us that he,  like his father, followed  God word and lead the people to do likewise.

We can relate to that.  Most of us reading  this know are trying to walk with God as best as we can.  We’re not perfect but we are striving.  Keep it up.

Uzziah,  however,  made the biggest leadership flaw he could,  he forgot where his place was.  Uzziah had allowed pride to so dominate him that he took it upon himself to burn incense to God.  The priests scorned and shunned him and God sent leprosy onto him and that is how he ended his life.

When we allow pride to creep in it quickly takes us from walking with God to finding ourselves going to battle against Him.

So today’s question is this: Where are you?

Are you walking faithfully with God and reaping the benefits of it?  Or are you allowing pride to blind you to God’s Word in your life?  If you are walking faithfully then keep it up.  If not then spend time today praying and ask God for forgiveness and the strength to continue to follow God’s word.
