Today you should read: Psalm 70

May all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you!
May those who love your salvation
say evermore, “God is great!” Psalm 70:4

Our Psalm today again talks about needing the Lord’s deliverance. David is seeking God in the midst of needing deliverance. David is being persecuted by those who are mocking the position he is currently in. He is crying out to God to save Him from them!

What stand out to me is what David says in verse 4 (quoted above). This has truth for us today! It is encouraging us to seek God because seeking God brings joy and gladness. How many times have you been in need and neglected to seek God? How many times have you needed joy and gladness and tried finding them in places other than God? The second part of the verse says that we should respond to the salvation of God by declaring the greatness of God.

  1. Verse one, Please God rescue me! Come quickly, Lord, and help me. I love David he was so humble and honest when he cried out to God. I can’t count the times I would cry out to God, get me out of this mess NOW Lord. Not taking the time to realize God’s timing is perfect and He has a plan. And if I be still and quiet my self down, knowing He is growing me in His perfect will.
