God’s Blessings
In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice. Genesis 22:18
God’s Healing and Protection
If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the Lord, am your healer. Exodus 15:26
Family Blessings
So you shall keep His statutes and His commandments which I am giving you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may live long on the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time. Deuteronomy 4:40
Your Prayers Answered
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7
Joy
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:10-11
In today’s reading we see God’s promise of blessings for obedience. (v.2) Blessings for anyone who chooses to obey (v.3-7).
God’s commands are for our good! Things are better when we do them God’s way. So why is it so hard for us to obey?
We want our own way (v.11) – we’re never satisfied (v.11) and we keep seeking pleasures that leave us empty (v.12).
Oh dear child of God, real fulfillment only comes from knowing and following Jesus. So why are you chasing lesser things? Turn your heart to God today and obey Him. You’ll be forever glad you did!
