Today you should read: 2 Peter 2:1-22
Peter gives a description of these wicked people in verses 1-3 and again in 10b-16. The one thing Peter says that stuck out to me is, “Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones”. These people do not care to speak out against God. They are prideful in it.
Although their pride may be great, notice that God knows how to deal with these people (v. 4-10). He sent angels who sinned to Hell, preserved Noah and his family during a time of great wickedness, He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, and rescued Lot. As believers, this should cause us to rejoice. God is not going to let wickedness go unpunished. So while some false teachers may seem to be winning right now, ultimately they will not win at Christ’s second coming.
Our job as Christians should be to rebuke these false teachers and point people to Jesus. We need to be out in the world proclaiming the truth of the Gospel.

Good word today Brice!
3) In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction will not be delayed.
10a) He is especially hard on those who follow their own twisted sexual desire, and who despise authority.
These two verses grabbed my attention today. We see prosperity gospel “preachers” all over our country today and just recently we’ve seen a wealthy & powerful man who abused young women for years to satisfy his sinful desires.
I’m grateful that we have God’s Word to teach us correct doctrine and warn us about the evil in our midst. Praise God for the Word that became flesh in Jesus Christ!
