Today you should read: Leviticus 14
God’s Word is a manual for our lives. It contains instructions on how we are to live to experience the best life possible.
Leviticus 14 is instructions on how to contain infectious diseases. We know so much about this now, but imagine if you lived before the days of doctors, before the days of the Infectious Disease Center? God’s Word provided the guidelines to live in a healthy way.
As important as these instructions are, we know that the cleansing of our sin is way more critical. God took care of that too, through the death of His Son Jesus Christ.
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior. Titus 3:5-6
If we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:7-9
Take a moment today and thank God for His cleansing of your sin through Jesus. Now walk in the light of being free today.
