Today you should read: Ezekiel 43

After all of the detailed, important and necessary steps to build the temple, we see in ch. 43 where God’s glory finally fills the temple. As God’s glory and presence fills the temple again, God communicates His standards for His people and regulations for sacrifices and procedures within the temple. A big part of these regulations were to purify the altar and elements before using them as an offering before the Lord. Just like Jesus prepared offering Himself on the cross and was pure and sinless in His sacrifice, we see how the altar in the temple was a foreshadowing of the Gospel.
